As many airlines are changing their corporate loyalty programs, we thought this would be a good opportunity to look at the main key updates released recently to keep you up to date.

American Airlines:

AA’s Business Extra program has been discontinued
Points must be redeemed by January 31, 2024
Travel agency tickets do not qualify
United Airlines:
Changes:
United PerksPlus will only be exclusively available to corporate customers booking through a travel agency. That’s good news for you since you book your travel through Tangerine Travel.
Effective, February 1, 2024.
To verify your company has a PerksPlus account or if you would like to sign up, please contact your Corporate Account Manager.

Delta Air Lines:

As of early January, 2024 (the specific timing of which will be communicated by Delta)
To continue accruing your company points, you will need to opt in for SkyMiles For Busines
It will convert the dollars your company spends on eligible flights with Delta, Air France, KLM, Aeromexico, Virgin Atlantic or any of Delta’s codeshare partners into miles
Here’s how:
Log into your SkyBonus account at skybonus.delta.com
Verify your contact information is correct
Select the Opt-in link from the post-login homepage
The new account must be linked to a SkyMiles account
Benefits of SkyBonus:
Earn points on eligible tickets with Delta, Air France, KLM, Aeromexico and Virgin Atlantic.
Travelers still earn points on their personal SkyBonus account too.

Note: Please disregard the message that points are expiring. As a courtesy to members, SkyBonus points did not expire in December 2023 as we prepare for the final cutover to SkyMiles for Business.

Earn points for the company and travelers earn points too on qualifying Southwest flights:
Company must a minimum of two linked Rapid Rewards Members traveling on behalf of the company.
Must have an active SWABIZ account and Company ID Number.
Rapid Rewards points don’t expire.
Manage account through SWABIZ
Points are usable for redemption on any seat, any day, any time
