On January 12th, United has opened its fifth Polaris Lounge, this time at the Los Angeles International Airport.
Facing west, the lounge allows travelers to view the city’s vibrant sunsets, offering an atmosphere and gastronomy inspired by Southern California’s energy and culture. The new lounge features art from three Los Angeles-based artists (Rema Ghuloum, Chris Trueman, and Ruth Pastine), and a robust menu influenced by the City of Angels. Still included is the already loved “United Polaris Burger” – available at all United Polaris lounges. Hollywood inspired drinks include the On Sunset, a variation of a tequila sunrise, made with Casa Noble Tequila, Del Maguey Single Village Mezcal, and agave nectar.
Similarly to other Polaris Lounges (in Chicago, ORD, San Francisco, SFO, Newark, EWR, and Houston, IAH), the LAX lounge is only available to passengers ticked in the Polaris business-class cabin. The new location intends to bridge the in-lounge and in-flight experiences by inviting guests to enjoy a complete dinner before boarding (to maximize sleep time), and offering options from very private seats to more open tables and chairs, daybeds equipped with Saks Fifth Avenue bedding, and shower suites with Cowshed Spa products.
The LAX Polaris Lounge is located in Terminal 7 between gates 73 and 75A.
