Corporate Travelers Favor Bleisure & Card Rewards

A new study from Wex and Mastercard found that, of the more than 375 business travelers the companies surveyed, 55 percent of them were likely to extend business trips to further explore cities, and that 65 percent of travelers used personal payment cards to pay for business travel expenses.

Even though rewards have increased in the corporate card sector, the preference for using a personal card is due to rewards being widely associated with them, and may indicate a desire to accumulate loyalty points and to maximize travelers’ rewards.
