Alaska Airlines adds routes to the Pacific Northwest and California

Starting in January, business and leisure travelers will be able to fly eight new nonstop routes:

  • Two daily flights between Spokane and Los Angeles – starting January 7
  • Two daily flights between Spokane and San Francisco – starting March 19
  • One daily flight between Redmond/Bend, Oregon, and Los Angeles – starting Jan. 7
  • One daily flight between Redmond/Bend, Oregon, and San Diego – starting March 19
  • One daily flight between Redmond/Bend, Oregon, and San Francisco – starting March 19
  • Two daily flights between Boise and Los Angeles – starting March 19
  • One daily flight between Missoula, Montana, and Los Angeles – starting March 19
  • One daily flight between Anchorage and San Francisco – starting April 21

Earlier last month, the airline also announced new service from Paine Field (PAE, or Snohomish County Airport) to Spokane International Airport starting on November 4. Flights will be operated by Horizon Air, Alaska’s regional subsidiary, using Embraer 175 jets. Service will happen twice daily, leaving from Spokane at 7:40am and arriving in Everett at 8:55am, and from Everett to Spokane leaving at 7:55pm and arriving at 9:10pm.

Aside from the flights listed above, Alaska is also increasing services between California and other U.S. cities:

  • An increase of two flights per week between San Diego and Orlando, creating daily nonstop service between the cities – starting January 7
  • A seventh daily flight between San Francisco and Orange County, California – starting January 7
  • A second daily flight between San Francisco and Chicago – starting March 19
  • A second daily flight between San Diego and Boise – starting March 19
  • A second daily flight between San Diego and Santa Rosa, California – starting March 19
  • A fifth and sixth daily flight between San Diego and San Jose, California – starting March 19
  • A second daily flight between San Diego and Boston – starting May 21

Recently, Alaska has renovated its airport lounges in Anchorage, Los Angeles and Seattle, and has its brand-new San Francisco lounge scheduled to open in 2020.
